Biology I 1-2 Course Description:

Open to: Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: None

Biology I studies the structures and functions of living organisms and their interactions with their environment through laboratory and field investigations.

The course covers functions and processes of cells, tissues and organs as well as systems within various species of living organisms and their roles and interdependencies within ecosystems and the biosphere.

The history of biological knowledge is discussed.
