AP Chemistry

AP Chemistry 1-2 Course Description:

Length/Credits: 2 semesters –2 credits
Open to: Grades 11, 12
Prerequisite: Algebra II, Chemistry H, or Teacher Recommendation

All AP topics including structure of matter, states or matter, reactions, descriptive chemistry, acid-base equilibria, thermodynamics, kinetics, atomic theory, and chemical reactions will be covered.

All work will be presented at college level and pace, and all laboratories recommended by the AP program will be completed in this course.

For the online course, labs are set up so students can use safe/simple home items in the lab so they can do actual labs at home.

This course will prepare students for the Advanced Placement Chemistry exam in May.
