Physical Education I Course Description:

Length/Credits: 1 semester – 1 credit
Open to: Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: None

Physical Education I emphasizes health-related fitness and develops the skills and habits necessary for a lifetime of activity. This program includes skill development, social interaction, character development through games, and the application of rules and strategies of complex difficulty in the following movement forms: (1) team sports, (2) individual and dual sports, (3) recreational games and (4) physical fitness activities. Adapted Physical Education I will be offered, as needed, in the least restricted environment and will be based on individual assessment.
