Introduction to Literature

Dual Credit Introduction to Literature Course Description:

Length/Credits: 1 semester – 1 High School Credit / 3 Vincennes College Credits
Open to: Grades 11, 12
Prerequisite: SAT Score 420 (comprehension) or Accuplacer score of 89

An introduction to literature and to the three major genres: fiction, poetry, and drama. Emphasis is placed on the ability to read critically and gain an appreciation for literature.

The corresponding high school credit can be: American Literature 1-1, American Literature 1-2, English Literature 1-1, or English Literature 1-2.
