What to Expect

Achieve Virtual’s program has the same academic rigor of a traditional school, for all grades. While a virtual school provides for a flexible learning environment for the student, it still maintains a basic expectation of student attendance and performance.

Student Expectations

For the benefit of each student’s education, we maintain certain expectations:

  • Attend school as per the outlined expectations in the student handbook. (Check out our student handbook here)
  • Show respect to instructors, staff, and other students while enrolled with Achieve Virtual.
  • Communicate with staff in the event they are unable to meet attendance expectations.
  • Follow all the policies of the MSD of Wayne Township.
  • Demonstrate academic integrity throughout their time as a student with Achieve Virtual as outlined in our student handbook.

Students who do not meet our code of conduct or attendance expectations are likely to be withdrawn from our virtual school.

Supply List

Students need a computer/Chromebook (MSD of Wayne Township resident students can receive one from the district), internet in the home (not provided by district). Phones and tablets will NOT work for the online classes. Students need a computer in order to maintain the best experience with our online environment.

Attendance for 7-8th Grade Students:

Student attendance is monitored by our assistant principal with student logins to all classes as well as assessments being submitted in classes for grades (just logging in isn’t enough to be attending in our virtual setting – students must also be completing their work at a proficient level).

Student Handbook

Students who took all or part of their class online performed better, on average, than those taking the same course through traditional face-to-face instruction.
